Safety Features in 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan
The Grand Caravan has a plethora of features that enhance the safety and security of passengers. For children, the Grand Caravan has an Observation Mirror that allows you to keep an eye on the back seat without having to turn around. The Grand Caravan comes standard with a LATCH system so that you can safely and securely use child seats, and child protection door locks prevent the rear sliding doors from being opened from the inside.
Safety systems in the Grand Caravan act as a copilot for the driver, helping to provide a smooth ride. All-Speed Traction Control monitors wheel slip and applies brake pressure to the slipping wheel(s) to maintain stability. Similarly, Electronic Stability Control combines ABS and All-Speed Traction Control to give you more security and a more responsive performance. ESC applies brake pressure to alternating wheels and can adjust engine throttle if necessary to help you maintain stability.
Other passive safety features in the Grand Caravan include a steel safety frame, active front seat head restraints, seven advanced airbags, and crumple zones.
